HEALTH AND WELLNESS

Your physical and emotional well-being are equally important to day-to-day living. That’s why our programs, services, activities and classes are designed to nurture mind, body and spirit.

The Health & Wellness Programs at CBN’s Older Adult Centers offer a full range of workshops, lectures and exercise classes that encourage you to make choices that positively impact your health. We focus on building knowledge and empowering you to make positive changes in your own life. Our Education Classes—including guest lecturers, language classes and computer training and tutoring—introduce new skills for curious minds. You’ll feel stronger, smarter and happier, too.

We also focus on meeting your practical needs and fighting isolation through our individualized Case Management, Social Services, Elder Abuse and Caregiver Resource programs. CBN provides you with opportunities for meaningful engagement including Volunteer Service activities to support and assist others.

The Carter Burden Network seeks to positively impact older adults’ health, mind and body by providing health, wellness and exercise programs along with support and discussion groups at its various centers.

Visit our Newsletter and Calendars page to view our Health and Wellness calendar to see scheduled health and wellness activities being offered at each center.

SUPPORT & DISCUSSION GROUPS

The Carter Burden Network offers support groups, specifically catered towards the Chinese population and women. A Chinese language group helps congregate those who find it difficult to travel to Chinatown to socialize and a Women’s discussion group is offered for those interested in women’s issues and related topics.
