VOLUNTEERING AT THE CARTER BURDEN NETWORK
Volunteers are an integral component of the Carter Burden Network’s 40+ years of success. Each year, the Carter Burden Network works with hundreds of corporate volunteers who share in our dedication to ensuring that older people live safely and with dignity.
VOLUNTEER WITH US DURING NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK!
Celebrate National Volunteer Week by scheduling an engaging employee volunteer activity that will foster camaraderie among staff, increase your visibility in the community, and make a meaningful, positive difference in the lives of elderly New Yorkers.
Meal Service/Delivery
Prepare and serve meals to members at our senior centers or deliver meals on foot to homebound seniors on the Upper East Side.
Art Activities
Participate in an art activity with our seniors such as painting, picture frame decorating, or jewelry making.
Special Events & Projects
Host a special event for our seniors such as an ice cream social or “Senior Prom”, or participate in projects like gardening at our senior centers.
Games
Coordinate an impactful socialization volunteer activity such as interactive karaoke or play bingo and other board games.
