 CARTER BURDEN LUNCHEON CLUB UPDATE

Dear Friends of Carter Burden Network,

The building in which our Carter Burden Luncheon Club & Older Adult Program (the Club) is located has been sold.  The new owner, The Church of the Epiphany (Epiphany), is renovating the entire building, a project expected to take 18 - 24 months. During the renovation, Epiphany has generously invited CBN to serve daily luncheon meals and continue our programming at its 1393 York Avenue at 74th street location.

Meal service/programming has commenced at Epiphany as of September 23rd, 2019 and NYC older adults are enjoying this new location.

We are excited about the improvements to the Club space that the renovation will yield - the entire building and our older adult center space will be handicap accessible, we will have an enhanced kitchen and dining room, and there will be elevator access to other floors for programming as well as to the roof deck.

We have found a wonderful partner in The Church of the Epiphany.  Father Cole and his team have been extremely helpful and have kept us informed of the status of the renovation.  We are very fortunate to work with them.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Grand Re-Opening of our older adult center in 2022. In the interim, we hope you will join us for congregate meals at the Epiphany location, 1393 York Avenue (b/w 72nd and 73rd), New York, NY 10021.

Sincerely,

William J. Dionne
Executive Director
