Lenox Hill and CBN: Battling Loneliness and Depression in Seniors

A recent edition of Lenox Hill Hospital’s Look North publication showcased Carter Burden Network’s symbiotic partnership with Lenox Hill’s Home Based Geriatric Psychiatry Program, and explained how both work together to help at-risk seniors in NYC. Many seniors, especially now during the COVID-19 pandemic, suffer from loneliness, isolation, depression, anxiety, and a plethora of other mental disorders. Lenox Hill’s psychiatry program is able to treat patients and their ailments in the comfort of their own homes, and many of these individuals are referrals from Carter Burden’s social services department. While CBN works to connect patients with the program, Lenox Hill sends seniors who are in need of extra socialization, housing, food, or Medicaid over to our doors.
